Youth Appreciation & Back-to-School Cookout

Lots of free food, fun and games for all the youth, family and friends that attended last years Youth Appreciation Day and Back-to-School Picnic. This day was truly all about the kids. Youth attending were also received free backpacks, school supplies and other helpful materials to start off the school year. Items were provided by contributions from our community sponsors. Anti-Bullying Session
​
One of the most important issues for school age children here in the US is anti-bullying. Bullying is a conscious act to cause hurt by one or more people against another person or people. There has been a growing awareness and efforts to address this problem.
KAPT has expanded its program to help our young people understand what bullying is and some of the ways that they can get help if they experience or witness bullying. Click here to view session photos.
KAPT Attends VFW Military Appreciation Night
​
VFW Post 4914 hosted a Black History Military Appreciation Night. There KAPT youth learned about the experiences of african-american service men and women that served in the armed forces during Korean conflict, Viet-nam War and other post WWI military encounters. The also learned about a special group of service men called "Buffalo Soldier" who known for bravery and their extraordinary combat skills. Clear here to view more photos
