KAPT Community Corner
Reaching out to our community is done both though giving and receiving.
Families and friends supported KAPT by donating new gloves and Hats to the children serviced by Camden County Center for Family Services Holiday Gift Project.
At the start of the project the youth created paper hand cut-outs to serve as ornaments for the KAPT gift-giving tree. The ornaments were later replaced by new gloves or hats donated by KAPT families and friends. This activity enabled the children to be a part of the giving process from the start. All donated items were delivered to the CFS Benson St. Camden, NJ location.

KAPT at VFW Military Appreciation Day
KAPT youth attended the Military Appreciation Day held at the Willingboro, NJ VFW Post 4914. The event featured special speakers that shared of their experiences as African American military personnel during before and after civil rights became law in the United States. Youth Appreciation Picnic and
Back-To-School Supply Giveaway
Annually KAPT and Flagg Memorial’s Youth Department hold a school supply drive to collect and freely distribute to children and families in the community. The school supplies are distributed at a "Youth Appreciation Day" picnic at the start of the school year.
The day featured outdoor athletic activities and games, a picnic and “Back-to-School” giveaways upcoming school year. Children received new backpacks filled with school supplies and other helpful materials.
The school supplies and foods for the picnic were donated by KAPT families and friends and local businesses in the surrounding area.
